PAPIMI THERAPY

The PAP-IMI machine is a high-tech, non-invasive, electromagnetic therapeutic device, which was invented by a Greek mathematician and physicist, Dr Panos Pappas. (PAP-IMI: “PAP” for Pappas; “IMI” = Ionic Magnetic Induction).

The PAPIMI device creates a pulsed electromagnetic field which is applied to different parts of the body, and which may help stimulate and activate the normal healing process and the growth and repair of tissue. How Does the PAPIMI Work?

Every cell in the body has an electrical charge, giving an electrical signal. Disease, aging or injury can disrupt these signals, and when tissues are stressed, the cells’ electrical signal is diminished. The result of this is that the body is unable to repair the affected tissue, leading to pain, inflammation and loss of function.

The PAPIMI’s Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field is believed to help raise the cellular electrical signal, which may therefore help the healing process. It induces negative ions into the body at the cellular and sub-cellular level, which help the electrical charge of the cells to increase, and may therefore accelerate healing.

The Procedure

The procedure is non-toxic, non-invasive and usually painless. (Discomfort may be felt in damaged tissues, which will help to pinpoint the problem.) The person to be treated remains fully clothed and lies on a massage table. The transmitter loop is then passed over various parts of the body, emitting an ionic magnetic field in short pulses. These electromagnetic pulses penetrate deep tissue, passing completely through the body.

Scientific Description of the PAPIMI Device

The PAPIMI Device is in the same category of Electrotherapeutic devices as those of Tesla and D’Arsonval, which were very popular in hospitals and medical centres for nearly half a century, due to the amazing results they were achieving. These devices were named (short wave) “Diathermy” Devices (those intended for deep heating), and “Electro-surgical Diathermies” (those intended for surgical needs).

The modern scientific term for these Electrotherapeutic devices is “Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field (PEMF) Generators”. Pulsed Coagulators and Pulsed Lasers, which have begun to re-enter the field of Physical Medicine, may be placed in the same category.
